absences and medical certificates

If you are absent from required programme content for medical reasons, you must transmit a medical certificate to Maeva Mourlan within 24 hours of the absence. Your medical certificats are confidential; the office team does not need to see them (and indeed, cannot look at them). An excused absence for medical reasons will not lead to a failed module; however, depending on the module and the volume of absences, you will still need to make up the module, and will need to work with the coordinators and Emilie Parendeau to create a personalized study plan.

You can find the schedules for the jurys and thesis defenses, as well as the spreadsheets for selecting spaces, on the recap schedule of the whole year. Please have a look at and respect the timelines.

Grad Tour wall texts, portfolios, alumnae website
Your diploma project has three built-in means of public communication: the Grad Tour wall text flyers, the porfolio that makes you eligible for prizes, and the HEAD alumnae website.

All of these formats will require you to produce a title, a short descriptive text, and a medium description for your diploma project. Of course, it is difficult to pin all this down before having finished the work, but it's important to leave yourself time to work on it, because these texts tend to stick around (especially the alumnae website).

Several prizes are given out during the Grad Tour. Which prizes are given, as well as their conditions and procedures, vary from year to year. What you can do is make sure your porfolio is really clean and well-constructed, because this is the document that we will send to the Visual Arts department for examination for prizes that are given by departmental nomination.
