Clovis Maillet

Clovis Maillet is a historian and artist, author of an EHESS doctorate thesis on medieval hagiographic kinship supervised by Jean-Claude Schmitt (2014), and a specialist in questions of gender and kinship in medieval visual and clerical culture. After a post-doctoral fellowship at the Musée du Quai Branly in 2015-2016, a research fellowship at the ESACM cooperative with L. Hervé has published papers in Gradhiva, Mediévales, Terrain, and numerous collective works.
His book Les Genres Fluides, de Jeanne d'arc aux saintes trans published by Arkhê 2020, deals with a long-term history of the Trans Identities.
