Camille Aleña
Camille Aleña, a filmmaker from French-speaking Switzerland based between Switzerland and London, explores experimental trends within the traditions and conventions of cinema, which she references, employs, and deconstructs in her work. She is particularly interested in the passions of her protagonists — both in terms of their private practices (off-screen and on-camera) and their emotional turmoil.
Aleña’s films have been described as "remakes of films that never existed," highlighting her strong interest in repetition, reenactment, and metafiction.
In 2025, she presents Salt Bath, her first medium-length film co-directed with K. Desbouis, at the CAPC in Bordeaux.
