Nicolas Brulhart

Since 2025, Nicolas Brulhart is director of the Centre d’édition contemporaine in Geneva. He was the artistic director of Kunsthalle Friart Fribourg (2019-2025). He has organized solo exhibitions there with artists Ei Arakawa, Sara Deraedt, Calla Henkel & Max Pitegoff, Charlotte Johannesson, Dorota Gawęda & Eglė Kulbokaitė, Sky Hopinka, Michel Ritter, Ceylan Öztrük, Monika Emmanuel Kazi, Georgia Sagri, Bernhard Schobinger among others. He was co-director of the art space Forde, Geneva (2016-2018), co-founder and director of WallStreet (WallRiss) in Fribourg (2013-2016) and archive manager of the Kunsthalle Bern (2014-2019). From his interest in contemporary philosophy, exhibition history and new media, his work as a curator has developed in directions that often allude to the counter-hegemonic potential of art through its forms. As an author, he regularly publishes essays and has edited several catalogs.
