Cléa Chopard
Cléa Chopard is a writer and translator. She explores the notion of instability in the body and in language through texts in which typography and the space of the page are central elements. She creates DIY literary objects (cards, booklets) that she gives away and of which she keeps no record.
She collects wallpapers and medicine information leaflets, which are recurring elements in her writings. Drawing on a variety of sources, each of her text explores a new form both in content and format
She has researched multilingual poetry and translational experiments, and has developed the notion of “untranslation”.
She works for Swiss literary journal “L’Ours Blanc” and has published several translations and poetry texts in various journals and anthologies. Her new text Topolalie will be published in 2026 by Héros-Limite.
